Enrichment Activities 2018 – 2019
With the support of QE and QEPAC, a number of community organizations offer lunch-time and afterschool programs at our school. These programs allow QE Students a convenient opportunity to participate in various enrichment activities. Programs are fee based and registration is done directly with each organization. Mad Science After School Club (Grades 1 – 7)
When: Wednesdays 3:10 – 4:10
Dates: April 10, 17 & 24 May 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29
Cost: $140 (includes tax)
Eight weeks of exciting hands-on science based activities. Watch fascinating demonstrations, join in enquiry-based discussions, participate in individual and group experiments, and make amazing take-homes. Mad Science will spark the curiosity and imagination of children with fun science activities that will help them understand the world around them.

Arcade Coding – Stem2Space will be offering a fun & interactive coding program at Queen Elizabeth on Wednesdays after school 3:15pm – 4:45pm. The program will run from April 17th to June 19th.

Crossfit Kids (Grades 4-7)

April 18th – June 6th (8 sessions)
The goal of this program is to instill a love of fitness in children, while forming life-long relationships between fitness, good health and fun. Our program is designed to help build character and confidence, physical abilities, proper mechanics in functional movements and social skills.
Programme Description: Grades 4-7 Making fitness fun for kids of all ages and abilities. They will perform different workouts focusing on functional exercises and functional movements, and working together with the rest of the class. The kids will learn proper movement patterns, working in teams, and making fitness fun!

This comprehensive and progressive program allows students to learn how to play chess in the optimal manner by gradually increasing complexity. Within 1.5 class hour we will teach our students different chess concepts, solve a large variety of tactical exercises, play practice games and tournaments. In addition, our students can use a wide range of our own unique on-line resources and software for homework, class material and games.
